Tablet: 4 mg Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) Prophylaxis:
0.125-0.25 mg/kg/dose PO BID or TID (Max 0.5 mg/kg/day)

Appetite Stimulant:
0.125 mg/kg/dose PO div BID
CVS prophylactic dosing is for children < 5 yrs old, use amitriptyline for >5 yrs old.

anticholinergic side effects including increased appetite, weight gain, sedation.

paradoxical hyperexcitability may occur in some children.

For use as an appetite stimulant, a dosing cycle of 13 weeks on therapy, followed by 1 week off therapy may enhance efficacy.
