Potentiates side effects of anticholinergics and other CNS depressants. Adverse effects: sedation, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, gastrointestinal distress, rare paradoxical excitation. Caution in patients with asthma or narrow-angle glaucoma. Avoid subcutaneous or intradermal injections due to irritating effects.
