Do not shake or transport via pneumatic tube system. Shaking may denature proteins and render the product inactive. SC route provides sustained serum levels and longer half life compared to IV route. IV use restricted to hemodialysis patients only. *Consult hematology for this indication (pre-op use) at least 4 weeks prior to surgery date.
