Amiodarone increases flecainide levels; decrease flecainide dose by 30-50% if used in combination with amiodarone (CYP450 2D6 substrate). Use with caution in presence of CHD; may aggravate LV failure, sinus bradycardia and pre-existing ventricular arrhythmias. Monitor QRS duration, increased PR interval. Dairy products (milk, infant formula) may decrease absorption of flecainide. Avoid concurrent administration with formula feeds. Reduce dose in renal failure.
