Children <6 yr: not usually recommended due to aluminum content. If indicated: 1 to 3 mL/dose up to maximum QID. Children > 6 yr: 5 to 10 mL/dose up to QID Adults: 10 to 20 mL of liquid, or chew 2 to 4 tablets daily to QID. Maximum: 16 tablets or 80 mL/24 hr |
Each 5 mL suspension contains: sodium alginate 250 mg + aluminum hydroxide 100 mg (53 mg sodium/5 mL). Each tablet contains: alginic acid 200 mg + magnesium carbonate 40 mg (22 mg sodium).
