tablet: 300 mg
liquid: 10 mg/mL
Active Tuberculosis:*
Children:  10-15 mg/kg/dose PO daily.**  or 20-30 mg/kg/dose three times weekly
Maximum:  300 mg/dose on daily regimen or 900 mg/dose on three times weekly regimen.

Latent Tuberculosis:
10-15mg/kg/dose PO daily or
20-30mg/kg/dose twice weekly
Maximum: 300mg/dose on daily regimen, 900mg/dose on twice weekly regimen

*Should not be used alone for treatment; combine with other antitubercular agents.

**In patients with low level isoniazid resistance, 15-20 mg/kg/dose PO daily may be used.

Adverse Drug Reactions: mild hepatic enzyme elevation, hepatitis, peripheral neuritis, hypersensitivity. Hepatotoxic effects more common with higher dose or in combination with rifampin.
