MAGNESIUM CITRATE (Paeds) (CitroMag) Mechanism of action: Magnesium salt; laxative Ref: 4 Last update: 2022-12-19	solution: 15 g/300 mL	Bowel evacuation prior to procedure: Children: 4 mL/kg/dose (0.2 g/kg/dose) PO x 1 > 12 years old and Adults: 300 mL (15g) PO x 1	Drink 250 mL of water each hour for 4-6 hr before and 3 hr after administration. Onset of action 0.5-3 hr. Serve chilled to improve palatability. Caution in renal insufficiency. Standard Prescription: magnesium    mL PO__(frequency) (    mL/kg/24hr)
