NITRAZEPAM (Paeds) (Mogadon) Mechanism of action: Benzodiazepine Ref: 44, 103 Last update: 2019-07-14	tablet: 5 mg suspension (BCCH): 1 mg/mL	Seizures: Children up to 30 kg: 0.1-0.4 mg/kg/dose PO BID (Max 0.8 mg/kg/24 hr)	Begin therapy at low dose, gradually increase to effect/tolerance. Higher doses may cause excessive drowsiness, ataxia, and increased drooling. Standard Prescription: nitrazepam__mg PO__(frequency) (__mg/kg/24hr)
