Mechanism of action:

Topical sulfonamide/silver antibacterial

cream: 1% (50 g tube) Infants > 2 months:
Apply topically with sterile, gloved hand in a 3-5 mm thick layer. 

For burns: Apply once to twice daily.

For other wounds: Apply with dressing change every 2-3 days.

Silver's cytotoxic effects on fibroblasts & keratinocytes have the potential to delay wound healing.

Alternate agents preferred for the treatment of burns and wounds, consider consultation with plastic surgery prior to use.

Discard tubes 7 days after opening to ensure sterility.
