Injectable:
enanthate (Delatestryl): 200 mg/mL, 5-mL vial (Note: this is the only product in stock at BCCH).
cypionate (Depo-Testosterone) 100 mg/mL, 10-mL vial.

1% Transdermal Gel (Androgel): 2.5 g and 5 g packets; 12.5 g/pump bottle

Transdermal patch: (Androderm): 12.2 mg and 24.3-mg patches

Capsules: undecanoate: 40 mg capsules
Hormone Replacement:

Injectable: 50-100 mg/week for full adult-male replacement dose; much smaller doses are required for puberty induction. May be given IM every 1-2 weeks or SC weekly.

Transdermal gel: 5-10 g gel (contains 50100 mg testosterone, equivalent to delivery of 2.5-5 mg testosterone) daily for full adult replacement dose.

Transdermal patch: One 12.2 mg or 24.3 mg patch (equivalent to delivery of 2.5-5 mg testosterone) changed daily for full adult replacement dose.

Capsules: not generally used.
For prepubertal boys, it is recommended that the Endocrinology service be consulted for dosing advice.
