Hormone Replacement: Injectable: 50-100 mg/week for full adult-male replacement dose; much smaller doses are required for puberty induction. May be given IM every 1-2 weeks or SC weekly. Transdermal gel: 5-10 g gel (contains 50100 mg testosterone, equivalent to delivery of 2.5-5 mg testosterone) daily for full adult replacement dose. Transdermal patch: One 12.2 mg or 24.3 mg patch (equivalent to delivery of 2.5-5 mg testosterone) changed daily for full adult replacement dose. Capsules: not generally used. |
