Topical anesthetic

Last update: 2021-02-20		 Mouth rinse:  0.15% 5 to 15 mL/dose. 

Swish for at least 30 sec. then spit. 




Repeat Q6 to 8H PRN.
  • May be diluted 1:1 with lukewarm water.




  • May initially sting inflamed mucosa due to alcohol content.




  • Do not swallow.


Standard Prescription:

benzydamine mouth rinse __ml swish and spit Q__H PRN
