Children:

Abdominal distension/urinary retention*:


0.15 mg/kg/dose PO Q6-8H

GE Reflux/delayed gastric emptying:

0.1-0.2 mg/kg/dose PO AC & HS (maximum 4 doses per 24 hr)

Adults:

10-50 mg PO BID-QID
*Not effective for urinary retention in children and should not be used as it may mask underlying obstructive urinary tract problems.

Contraindicated in asthma, mechanical GI or GU obstruction, peptic ulcer.

May cause hypotension, nausea, bronchospasm, salivation, flushing.
