Not available as MDI (metered dose inhaler) puffer. Refer to fluticasone, ciclesonide, or beclomethasone monograph for inhaled steroid MDI dosing. Significant improvements may be seen within 4-7 days. Doses for different administration methods (nebulizer vs turbuhaler) are not interchangeable Dose depends upon severity and response. Titrate to lowest effective dose. High dose may be associated with significant side effects → refer to asthma specialist. Side effects: dysphonia and oral thrush.
