Serious blood dyscrasias have occurred with short and long-term use. Monitoring CBC during therapy is recommended. Therapeutic Peak Levels: 15-25 mg/L. Levels > 50 mg/L are associated with a greater incidence of toxic effects. Refer to Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Table (white pages in print copy). Use with caution in G6PD deficiency, renal or hepatic dysfunction and in neonates.
