Dosages
Children < 12 years old:
Maximum PO Dose:
2-6 years old: 75 mg/24 hr.
6-12 years old: 150 mg/24 hr.
Adults:
25-50 mg/dose PO/IV/IM Q4-6H PRN.
0.5-1.25 mg/kg/dose PO/IV/IM/PR Q6H PRN
2-6 years old: 75 mg/24 hr.
6-12 years old: 150 mg/24 hr.
Maximum IM/IV Dose:
300 mg/24 hr.
Adults:
25-50 mg/dose PO/IV/IM Q4-6H PRN.

Antihistamine, used as antiemetic and mild sedative

Comments
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth.
Irritation at injection site - rotate sites.
Paradoxical excitement may occur in young children.
