Mechanism of Action
Magnesium salt; laxative

Comments
Drink 250 mL of water each hour for 4-6 hr before and 3 hr after administration.
Onset of action 0.5-3 hr.
Serve chilled to improve palatability.
Caution in renal insufficiency.
