Standard Prescription
amiloride __mg PO__(frequency)(__mg/kg/24 hr)
Dosages
Diuresis and Potassium Sparing Dose
0.4 to 0.625 mg/kg/24 hr PO once daily.
Adolescents: 5 to 10 mg/24 hr PO once daily or div. BID to maximum of 20 mg/24 hr.

Comments
- Monitor K+ if receiving potassium supplements or ACE inhibitors in addition to amiloride.
- Adjust dose in renal failure
