amphotericin B (Liposomal) __mg IV Q__H (__mg/kg/24 hr)
Nebulized
amphotericin B (Liposomal) 20mg nebulized BID on 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Fri)

Dosages
3-5 mg/kg/dose IV Q24H. (Up to 10 mg/kg/24 hr has been used to treat documented mucormycosis infections).
Via inhalation for Cystic Fibrosis:
20 mg nebulized BID on 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Fri).

Comments
Lipid formulations are associated with less frequent infusion-related reactions and nephrotoxicity compared to amphotericin B deoxycholate.
Potentially nephrotoxic but children have better tolerance than adults. Other adverse effects include hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, chills, vomiting, hepatotoxicity, headache and hypertension.

May use in CF if intolerant to nebulized amphotericin deoxycholate.
