Dosages
Hereditary angioedema with C1-inhibitor deficiency (C1-INH-HAE) type I/II acute, episodic attack
Children (>=2 years) and adolescents:
0.4 mg/kg/dose SC x 1 dose
Maximum: 30 mg/dose
Note: in adults doses may be repeated after 6 hrs, up to a maximum of 3 doses total in 24hr

Mechanism of Action
Icatibant acts as a bradykinin inhibitor by blocking the binding of native bradykinin to the bradykinin B2 receptor

For slow subcutaneous injection in the abdominal region
