Dosages
PO:
3-12 years old: 0.3 mg/kg/dose or 5-10 mg as a single dose.
> 12 years and Adult: 5-15 mg/dose (up to 30 mg for complete bowel evacuation)
> 11 years old and Adult: 10 mg.

PR: (single dose)
< 2 years old: 5 mg.

Comments
To protect enteric coating on tablets:
Do not chew or crush tablets.
Do not give within 1 hour of antacids or milk products.
May cause abdominal cramping.
Stimulant laxatives are not recommended for infants younger than 1 year of age.
Onset of action: PO: 6-10 hr, PR: 15-60 min
